Moleperson publishes fiction only.
We accept stories (desire/need that comes to change/discovery) from one sentence to 8,000 words. Anything beyond would exhaust our blog format.
Please obey the format rules or we will eat your family. Not really, though.
Rule #1: Double-space
Rule #2: Times New Roman, 12 pt.
Rule #3: Title, Your name as you wish it to appear, and Contact info clearly discernible on the manuscript.
We know that after excavating your soul you'll have nuggets of yourself to share with us, so include a 3rd person biography. Consider it your literary thumbprint; tell us more than merely your publication history. You'll have this opportunity when you upload your manuscript to Submishmash.
Simultaneous submissions are encouraged.
The editors of Moleperson are longtime submitters, first time editors. We know how hungry you are, both literally and figuratively. Just withdraw your story via Submishmash if it is swallowed by another hungry hippo.
Multiple submissions are encouraged, also.
Send us 5 one sentence stories, 3 flash (up to 1,000) and 1 longer story (up to 3,000).
Don't clog the toilet, though. We only have two plungers. Wait until we respond to send more. We will endeavor to reply within 3 months, but remember, we have day jobs at the mall cinema, too.
Do we pay? No. Does it pay? Yes!
Moleperson acquires one-time electronic rights which means we post your story and it remains in our archives, but it belongs to you. You struck the gold, you swung the pick, you got the black lung, you keep it. However, if you repaint on another cave wall, please credit us as the first publisher.
We accept submissions exclusively through Submishmash. It's easy, so don't be grumpy.
